Where can I locate my Chassis number?

The location of the chassis number is dependent on the make and model of your vehicle. It is often stamped on the firewall, The firewall is the panel between the back of the engine and the dash. It also can be located on a chassis ID plate within the engine bay of the vehicle or on the door centre pillar of the vehicle. The engine number also can be found on this vehicle ID plate.

Why do you require the registration number of my vehicle?

Our suppliers need accurate description details of your vehicle to help them quote your parts request accurately. They want to provide you with the right part at the right price first time. If you enter your vehicle registration in the field provided, we will obtain your vehicle description accurately from the NZTA securely via Motor Web’s BVI (Basic Vehicle Information) application and pass this information onto the suppliers on our network for them to view and quote your parts request. We do not provide your vehicle detail information to any other third party.
